Los Angeles Then & Now Photos
Panoramas of Los Angeles, Now & Then
Altadena, Pasadena and Los Angeles taken from Mt. Lowe
The Castellammare Coast showing the bridge over PCH next to what was once Thelma Todd's Cafe. Taken from the same point as a 1920s TICOR Title photo (see CHS-11202) of the garage where the "Ice Cream Blonde" died in 1935 (the double blue doors under the red tile roof a bit above the large white roof sporting the dish antenna).
Hollywood and Los Angeles from the Hollywood Hills, taken from Grandview, off Yucca Trail, West of Laurel Canyon and overlooking the Sunset Strip. As you recall, Marlowe once lived on Yucca off Laurel Canyon. The only Yucca off Laurel Canyon is either Yucca Ln or Yucca Trail, which are both off Kirkwood Dr., West of Laurel Canyon.
Scan of an original 1920s Panorama of downtown Los Angeles taken from a building East of Pershing Square and showing Olive Street with the under construction Biltmore Hotel, as well as 6th and 5th Streets, and a view North along Hill.
